There was lots of excitement in the Monkey Sanctuary yesterday, when the postman arrived bearing gifts! Satsuma couldn't wait to get the parcel ripped open, and inside were these delicious bathing treats from the lovely Little Satsuma soap company! We monkeys luuurve Little Satsuma, and not only because they share their name with our favourite Orangutan friend!
They also make divine and scrumptious smelling bath goodies (just a warning for you, although they smell delicious, they still taste of soap, take it from me, I bit into one by accident thinking that MQ had been making edible treats again...bleugh!). Anyway, the other reason why we love Little Satsuma is that they are Orangutan friendly, there is no nasty Palm Oil in any of their yummy products and that can only be a good thing! I also helped MQ bake some delicious "oatmeal shortbread monkey kisses"...she needed a break from sticking needles in her paws, sorry I mean from crafting Sockosimians, so I suggested that some time out in the kitchen was just what Dr Chimp ordered!Here is the result of the baking experiment (I did most of the work, you really need a strong prehensile tail like mine to stir the biccie mix, human paws are just too weak!). I'm just off now to finish them off with a cup of marshmallow topped Orangutan friendly choccie...yum!
